For Dr. Cunningham, dentistry is where science, artistry, and compassion come together. With degrees in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, and Dentistry from UNC, she brings a patient-first approach, advanced technology, and a warm, approachable personality to every visit.
Outside the office, she enjoys tennis, traveling with her family, scuba diving, sailing, and spending time outdoors.

Renee Ormond
Dental Hygienist
With over 30 years of experience in dental hygiene, Renee believes a trip to the dentist should feel comfortable—not something to dread. She is passionate about easing dental anxiety and creating a calm, welcoming experience for every patient.
What she loves most about her role is getting to know her patients beyond their teeth and helping them feel confident and cared for throughout their visits. For Renee, there’s nothing better than seeing patients leave with a healthier smile—and a little less stress than they arrived with.
Outside the office, Renee enjoys camping under the stars and curling up with a good book.
Heather Cook
Office Manager
With 28 years in dentistry and five years with Cunningham Dentistry, Heather brings experience, organization, and a genuine love for people to everything she does.
She enjoys every part of her role—from getting to know patients and helping navigate insurance to the occasional game of Jenga with the schedule. Most of all, she loves finding ways to make each patient's experience easier and more personal.
Her favorite part of caring for patients is getting to know them beyond their appointment—to understand their needs, accommodate their schedules, and celebrate with them when treatment is complete and they see their new smile come to life.
Outside the office, Heather spends plenty of time with her two fur babies, Oliver Finn, a miniature poodle, and Daisy Mae, a labradoodle. You may even spot them being pushed around downtown Cary in their stroller. When she's not working or snuggling with her pups, Heather enjoys spending time with family, loving on other people's fur babies, thrifting, sewing, and decorating.
Alexis Robles
Dental Assistant
Born and raised in Raleigh, NC, Alexis has been a dental assistant for four years and is continuing to further her education and grow her career in dentistry.
What she loves most about dentistry is the opportunity to build genuine relationships with patients while doing work she truly enjoys. Her favorite part of caring for patients is watching them become more comfortable in the practice and helping them take meaningful steps toward better oral health.
Outside of the office, Alexis enjoys spending time with friends and family, learning to play golf, and spoiling her fur baby, Ivy Grace.
